Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or place an order at the AVODA online store (avodafresh.com), we collect:

Account information: email address, name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
Order information: shipping address (country, address, city, state/province, postal code), recipient name, contact phone number, a customs or tax identification number where your destination country requires one for import clearance, and order/payment records
Automatically collected: your IP address, recorded when you sign in, request an email verification code, or reset your password. It is used only to limit repeated attempts and is not used to profile you.

We do not collect or store your full card number. Payment is processed directly by our payment partner, Toss Payments; we only receive a payment confirmation and transaction reference.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, and to verify your email address
To process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and to provide order/delivery status
To respond to inquiries submitted through our Help board
To protect accounts by limiting repeated sign-in, verification, and password-reset attempts
To comply with legal obligations, including tax and consumer-protection record-keeping requirements under Korean law

3. Sharing With Third Parties

We share information with the following parties only as necessary to provide our services:

Toss Payments - to process your payment (order amount, order reference)
Shipping carriers - to deliver your order (recipient name, address, phone number). Carrier and tracking information are entered manually by AVODA staff, not through an automated integration.
Gabia Hiworks - to send transactional email such as email verification codes and order notifications (your email address)
Amazon Web Services - hosting for the store and its database (Seoul region, Republic of Korea)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active. Order and payment records are retained for the period required by applicable Korean e-commerce and consumer-protection recordkeeping laws, even if you later close your account.

IP addresses recorded for the abuse-prevention purpose described in Section 1 are kept for at most 30 days and are then deleted automatically.

5. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or withdraw consent to its processing, by contacting our Data Protection Officer (see Section 8). Some information may need to be retained where required by law, as described in Section 4.

6. Data Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing. Access to order and account data in our administrative systems is restricted to authorized AVODA staff.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in while you browse and shop. This cookie does not track you across other websites.
